Anne Evans, Director
Anne Evens is the director of CNT Energy. She earned her B.S. in engineering from Cornell University and her M.S. in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked in energy efficiency and housing for twenty years in both the non-profit and governmental sectors in the U.S. and in Southern Africa.

Marjorie Isaacson, Director of Research and Operations
Marjorie Isaacson is the Director of Research and Operations at CNT Energy. Marjorie has a B.A. in sociology from the University of Chicago. She’s the proud owner of a 3.6 kW PV array, installed at her home in 1999. She was the first customer established on ComEd’s interconnection program in 2000, and has sold power back to the utility since that time.

Larry Kotewa, Senior Engineer
Larry Kotewa is the Senior Engineer at CNT Energy and provides engineering support for CNT Energy’s varied projects, including Power Smart Pricing. Larry earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. in Statistics/Computer Technology from Roosevelt University. He is an Illinois Licensed Professional Engineer and has worked in and with the electric utility industry for over 30 years. As a precursor to Smart Meters and the Smart Grid, he has been involved with meter communication standards since the early 1990’s. He is the chair of multiple ANSI (American Nation Standards Institute) and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) meter standards committees.

Stephanie Folk, Communications and Marketing Manager
Stephanie Folk has worked at CNT Energy since 2004. She previously worked as the Chicago Wilderness communications representative at the Brookfield Zoo and as an educator at Shedd Aquarium. She holds a master’s degree in life science communications from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Northwestern University.

David Becker, Operations Manager
David Becker grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and obtained a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Following graduation, he worked in the fields of environmental software, sales and consulting before joining CNT Energy. As the Operations Manager, he focuses on streamlining and defining standard operating procedures and program metrics. David is also a recent graduate of the Chicago Conservation Corps leadership program.

Kathryn Eggers, Communication Associate
As a communication associate at CNT Energy Kathryn Eggers helps individuals and communities access the information and services they need to reduce their energy consumption and control associated costs. Kathryn earned Master of Environmental Management from Duke University, where she was the first to graduate with a concentration in Energy and Environment, and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She previously worked as a museum educator and park ranger and thoroughly enjoys talking with people about actions they can take to combat global warming and related environmental problems.

Amanda Escobar Gramigna, Outreach and Research Associate
Amanda earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College. Shortly after graduation she was hired by CNT Energy. She has been with CNT for a year and a half working on day-to-day operations for Power Smart Pricing and as project manager for the PriceLight program.

Jose Lara, Administrative Assistant
José Lara is CNT Energy’s administrative assistant. He came to the U.S. from Mexico in 1980 and has made Chicago his home. In addition to providing unparalleled administrative support for numerous CNT projects, he spends much of his time on the phone with Power Smart Pricing participants.

Matthew Scallet, Communications Associate
Matthew Scallet graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Communication Arts and Political Science. He works on community outreach and marketing for the Power Smart Pricing program. You may seem him around the state giving presentations to current and perspective Power Smart Pricing participants. He is also the blogmaster.
